Dean Jeffries Custom Carrera

Dean Jeffries modified a 1956 Porsche Carrera to demonstrate his talents as a custom car builder. I've owned this car since 1971. It's currently undergoing a full restoration to the way it was when it appeared on the cover of Rod & Custom magazine in October of 1959. Dean Jeffries is most well known as the builder of The Mantaray and many cars for TV and the movies such as the Monkeemobile, the Green Hornet, and the Landmaster in Damnation Alley. As a painter he was sought out to do such projects as James Dean's Porsche 550 Spyder, Carroll Shelby's first Cobra CSX 2000, and AJ Foyt's indy cars.
